First up — meet Lauren, one of our camp counselors who will be living in the cabins with campers this summer!
Lauren is a recent University of Vermont graduate who feels fulfilled when spending time with kids and being outside. She enjoys going on long hikes and runs, cooking, and reading. Lauren is looking forward to swimming, playing games, and having impromptu dance parties at camp. She is excited to meet all the campers and to spend her first summer in Maine!
We feel so lucky to have Lauren joining us and can’t wait for campers to get to know her 💛

Next up, meet Emily – our Cook & Gardener for the summer! Emily just graduated from the University of Vermont and moved to the farm this past weekend to start getting the gardens and kitchen ready for campers to arrive 🌱 This is her first summer at Growing Routes, and she couldn’t be more excited to cook delicious, nourishing food for our campers and staff.
Emily loves sharing meals and adventures with friends. In her free time, she enjoys long trail runs, swimming, camping, and crafting. She is especially excited to get to know each camper while baking wild blueberry crumble together this summer… 🫐
We are so excited to have Emily here and can’t wait for all the creative meals and magical garden experiences ahead ✨

Welcome back, Haven! Haven is returning for her EIGHTH summer working at camp. After graduating from college last spring, Haven has spent the past year after working at an elementary school in Boston. In her free time, she loves to ski, hike, ride horses, and knit. Haven is very excited to spend another summer in Union and is looking forward to meeting all the new campers!
Aside from being a wonderful camp counselor, Haven is also behind the camera making many of the gorgeous photos you see of camp. We are so happy to have her back this summer 💛

Introducing our next counselor for this upcoming summer — Tiana! Tiana is a middle school teacher and graduate student (finishing up her Master’s in Education!), who loves learning, reading a good mystery novel, and adventure. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, painting, bicycling Arizona’s desert, and spending quality time with her family. She is thrilled to spend her first summer at camp with Growing Routes!
We are so excited to have Tiana joining us and can’t wait to share with her all the joys and magic of a summer in Maine!

Introducing Brooklyn!
Brooklyn is an upcoming sophomore at Southern Virginia University and loves everything outdoors, exploring, and sharing her creative ideas with kids! At camp, she is looking forward to making all sorts of fun arts and crafts, eating yummy food, laughing together, and enjoying the sunsets. Outside of camp, she loves reading, listening to and playing music (especially Taylor Swift!), baking, and all things fashion. She has always dreamed of getting to spend summer in Maine, and cannot wait all of the wonderful campers who are sure to make this summer memorable!
We cannot wait for campers to arrive and meet all of our caring, joyful, thoughtful, creative, goofy, kind, fun-loving, AMAZING staff!
