The Farm & Setting

Camp Chloë is located at the magical 84-acre Twigg Farm in Union, Maine.

Twigg Farm is made up of woods, rolling fields, an apple orchard, frog pond, greenhouse, large barn, yoga & dance studio, nature trails, and 600 feet of private shoreline on 560-acre Seven Tree Pond. Wildflowers grow throughout the farm, and apple, oak, and walnut trees provide shade for afternoon play. Each night, campers fall asleep to the ancient sounds of loons, crickets, and bullfrogs. The setting offers endless possibilities for adventure and exploration.

We cook and eat meals together, often using ingredients harvested from our own gardens. Campers help pick vegetables and herbs, bake homemade pies, make ice cream with mint and berries from the farm, and enjoy simple, nourishing meals together.

Veggie and flower gardens, berry bushes, and the orchard keep camp life connected to the rhythms of nature. Campers learn where food comes from, discover the joy of caring for plants, and experience the satisfaction of sharing what they’ve grown.

New post-and-beam cabins and a light-filled bathhouse are designed to feel like a home away from home. Each cabin has high ceilings, plenty of windows, and space for 4–10 campers with 1–2 counselors. Thoughtful details—from dressers and lamps in the cabins, to a dining room that feels like a cozy shared home, to a bathhouse campers describe as “spa like”—make the environment comfortable, welcoming, and nurturing. The layout of camp is intentionally small and walkable, helping campers feel both safe and free to explore.

Location
Camp is located at Twigg Farm on Seven Tree Pond in Union, ME. The drive to Union is just under 1.5 hours from Portland (35 minutes from Augusta, 2 hours from Portsmouth, 3 hours from Boston) and passes through several quintessential Maine towns along the way — with abundant lobster rolls, ice cream, and swimming stops!
