Session 1 at Twigg Farm is Underway!

Camp has begun! The campers are here for Session 1, and so far some favorite parts from today were:

– Pound cake with rhubarb from the garden (the campers helped make it and we had it for dessert tonight)
– Making friendship bracelets to wear and gift to others
– The lavender is blooming and several other flowers and veggies are almost ready to pick from the gardens
– The cabins look so cute, decorated with each camper’s personal touches
– The food Zoe (our cook/gardener) is making is so delicious
– Sunset painting projects in the greenhouse
– The chickens all have names now, and we’re eagerly waiting for them to start laying eggs
– Swimming in the lake every chance we get, with lots of jumping, splashing, and floating
– Playing games together and making new friends
– Doing candlelit yoga before bed
– Finding shapes/letters and making collages
