Financial Assistance & Community Support
Growing Routes is committed to helping ensure programs are accessible to any child who is interested in attending. We are able to offer need-based financial assistance thanks to generous donations from members of our community.
Because our scholarship funds are limited, we ask families to consider their full financial picture when requesting support. This helps us distribute available funds in a way that prioritizes families with the greatest need and allows us to support as many campers as possible.
Some factors you might consider include:
Household income and number of dependents
Ongoing expenses, including medical or caregiving costs (especially those not covered by insurance)
Experiences, circumstances, or identities that may impact access to financial resources
Job stability or recent changes in income
Access to financial support from extended family or other resources
Assets such as home ownership, savings, investments, or inherited funds
Discretionary spending, such as travel or other non-essential expenses
Every family’s situation is different, and we know finances are rarely simple. Our goal is not to apply a strict formula, but to understand each family’s circumstances and offer support where it is most needed.
If your family has flexibility in your budget or access to additional resources, we encourage you to consider what level of tuition feels manageable. This helps us distribute our limited scholarship funds in a way that supports as many families as possible.
Financial aid is awarded on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage families to apply early.
Application Process
Please submit your Financial Aid Application prior to registering for programs.
If you choose to register before submitting your application, please note that your registration deposit is non-refundable, even if you are not awarded the financial assistance requested.
After we receive your application, we will review it and be in contact with you as soon as possible. Please ensure that the contact information you provide is correct to avoid delays in communication. If after reviewing your application we are able to award financial assistance, you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance before March 1st.

Financial aid at Growing Routes is made possible by donations from families, alumni, community members, and businesses who believe in making camp accessible.
If you are in a position to give, contributions to our scholarship fund are deeply appreciated and directly support campers who would not otherwise be able to attend. Donations are tax-deductible and make a meaningful difference in a child’s summer.
